Pretty exciting that our friends at So Many Shows are hosting another Colony Radio Show!
If you want to talk about Colony, make sure you check it out!
WHEN: 10pm EST on January 25th
WHY: Because it’s awesome and lots of fun!
It’s 2018 – do you know what that means? It means we are due for an all new season of USA Network’s Colony! Yes, it’s true… We all expected another January release date, but… it seems some programming changes (and potentially coverage of the Olympics) may have interrupted the scheduling! We need Colony Season 3!
So – When will it air? There’s been no official release date from USA or NBC Universal, but I have some guesses. Originally I thought we would see Colony Season 3 released early February since Damnation (the show that currently has Colony’s timeslot) ends on January 20th. Not to mention – Season 2 was released on Netflix on January 12th. (Typically, shows will return a month after their release on Netflix – depending on their contract.) But… The Olympics begin in February and USA Network does offer some coverage of the games. Most of it is late-night, but they will be televising hockey games – and some are presumed to be in the late evenings. So…
With all that being said, my guess is March 1st. They can’t put off the release of season 3 too long – it’ll interrupt potential programming later in the year. Plus – we need a season 4 sooner rather than later! Will I be right? I’m Proxy Snyder – so I usually am… But we should know soon as an announcement IS expected soon.
In the meantime – We have some exciting news. Colony Invasion has partnered with So Many Shows! If you’re not familiar with them – check it out. They cover TV shows across all the networks doing articles, reviews, podcasts, and streaming radio! And speaking of streaming radio… Check out their latest Colony Radio replay – all about Season 3!
Get ready, a new Proxy’s Corner should be released shortly!
See you soon, Colonists!
Great Citizens of the Colony…
We are only 251 days away from the approximate release date of Colony’s Season 3: Episode 1. I’m anticipating the date to be 1/11/2018 – Let’s hope I’m correct. While we are all waiting, there are still some great Colony things going on!
Did you check out the First Annual Talk Colony Awards? I even let Tory Kittles/Broussard win a couple of awards! (I know, I know – I’m such an amazing and generous guy!) If you haven’t heard the Awards Podcast (and the stellar acceptance speeches from a few of the stars) make sure you do – LISTEN HERE!
#ColonyChat! Have you taken part in any of our Colony Chats on twitter? We’re due for another real soon – be sure to be watching on twitter for an announcement on the next one! They’re lots of fun and a good way to keep chatting about our favorite show.
Now…Let’s discuss something important… We were successful in our Season 3 Renewal Campaign – and now I have a new campaign for you to assist with…
THE HOLMAN INITIATIVE
Fellow Colonists –
Remember that scene in the Season 2 finale where I convinced a young and upcoming Transitional Authority Sergeant to let me and the Bowmans escape the bloc? I remember it almost like it was yesterday…If I could just push a button to rewind time to thank him…
Anyway, that Sergeant (Holman) was really the hero of that scene and perhaps the episode. Well…2nd only to me of course… Sgt. Holman is played by the brilliant and charismatic Jamison Haase. I started a small campaign a few weeks ago called the #HolmanInitiative to ensure that the creatives behind Colony know we must have more of Holman’s story. The response on both facebook and twitter has been very positive:
So… How can you help? Easy. Use the #HolmanInitiative hashtag – EVERYWHERE. On Colony’s official facebook page. @ColonyUSA on twitter. Reach out to @WrathofCondal and @CarltonCuse on twitter. Let them know that Jamison Haase must return in Season 3. He deserves more time, don’t you think?
And if you want to say hello to Jamison and let him know you appreciate his efforts in the finale and (hopefully) Season 3, you can reach him and follow him on twitter @JamisonHaase!
Thanks, Colonists – I knew I could count on you!
All the best,
Proxy A. Snyder, Ph.D.
Citizens! Did you see that amazing season finale? Of course you did – Why would you miss it!? So many different things happened and so many questions need answers. Well lucky for you – I’m going to give you some of those answers! But before i do… Can we just have a moment of silence for poor Morgan? She was an undercover operative for us here at Homeland and she’ll be missed terribly. I’ll spare you the details of her horrendous murder, but just know this: the resistance will pay for her murder. One of the Transitional Authority’s finest, Sgt. Holman, is on the case and will not rest until justice is served. (Coincidentally – Sgt. Holman also won “Who owned the episode” on the Talk Colony Podcast this week. I’m thinking he paid someone off. CoughTRACEYCough)
On to the biggest BURNING question: What the heck was that button I pushed at the end of the episode? I’ll tell you, but PLEASE promise to keep it to yourselves. It’s a little…embarrassing.
Even though I could have earned a GIANT promotion and a lot of good will with our Hosts, I certainly DID NOT activate a beacon to call in a Drone Walker to handle the Bowmans while I escape with the gauntlet. Here’s what really happened…
Put yourself in my position for a moment: I have the entire Bowman family and the gauntlet with me inside the exclusion zone! Guns are drawn and the situation was extremely tense. We made it through – BUT – I may or may not have had a mild heart attack during the whole affair. So that button? Simple – It’s the latest device made by Life Alert. (Ya know – the “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up!” people.) I thought I may need a paramedic or emergency services – so I pressed the button. See? Embarrassing. What they didn’t show you (because they cut to credits early) was me deactivating the Life Alert as I realized I didn’t need any medical assistance.
End. Of. Story.
STATE OF THE COLONY
My fellow Colonists…
Our Colony is in the middle of an evacuation protocol. Please follow your Transitional Authority soldiers to leave the bloc immediately. This is for YOUR protection and survival. Critical services and rations will no longer be available in the LA bloc so please, go now.
Broussard, very generously, has offered to stay behind and assist the sick and elderly with their evacuation. Who knew he would be such a good guy. On a quick side note – Ryan Condal… You #BetterBringBackBroussard
Morgan has died. The Bowmans have left. Maddie is going to the Factory and The Greatest Day is complete nonsense. Oops…did I say that out loud?
Time to go…Stay safe Colonists!
All my best,
Proxy (Governor General?) Alan Snyder
With what is going to happen to LA bloc, do you think you have a good chance to run the new bloc?
I’m not sure if I’m going to accept the new Governor General position or the recently opened Ambassadorship. Either way, I will continue to be the person all citizens can count on. And I’m sure I’ll end up saving Helena a third time. Seems to be what i do…
Will Proxy Snyder be getting his own spin off show?
Lisa, first and foremost – Thank you for recognizing my brilliance. Secondly, I’m sure all the networks are considering Proxy Snyder shows and hope to have 12 – 15 different shows on TV across 4 or 5 nights per week. Perhaps a 24 hour all-Proxy all the time channel? I like it.
From Erin C. (TiBS):
How do you think Tory Kittles will feel when he finds out I that I’m really pro-Proxy and just love you to pieces, Mr. Snyder?
Erin, thank you for finally admitting it. He’ll get over it – in fact, he’s probably used to it by now.
Just exactly how big was that spider that Broussard brought along for the meet-up? More importantly, did the spider get what all spiders deserve?
That [CENSORED] [CENSORED AGAIN] spider was [CENSORED A THIRD TIME] huge! It’s dead dead dead! I don’t want to talk about it anymore. Gotta go!
That’s it for this week! Thanks so much for reading! Season three is only another 278ish days away – but stay tuned for any future Colony news, updates, or more made up nonsense that I decide to write! (Nonsense like the question from Erin…She’d NEVER say that!) Make sure to check out some of my other TV stuff here!
Great citizens of Colony…
WE DID IT! You must have heard by now – Colony is getting it’s 3rd season! Is anyone else “over the moon” excited, or is that just Nolan? It’s an amazing day, no… week! No, MONTH!
Normally in Proxy’s Corner, I take credit for everything. Everything good anyway… This time I can’t take credit for the awesome effort put forth by so many people. The #RenewColonyNow campaign was a huge (we won!) success. In just 3 weeks of time we had over 17,500 tweets, comments, likes, shares, etc across every social media platform. The executive team at USA/NBC Universal was mentioned/tweeted/retweeted over 3,000 times! Can you imagine their phone and email notifications? Dozens of people left feedback, called, emailed, and even sent snail mail letters to USA Network. And over the 13 days our petition was live – We gathered 1,900 signatures from fans all over the world! 38 different countries to be exact! ABSOLUTELY WITHOUT A DOUBT – IMPRESSIVE!
Colonists, YOU made this happen. Your impact and your love for this amazing show gave USA Network no alternative, but to renew our Colony! After the renewal announcement, I sent Chris McCumber (President, NBC Universal Entertainment Networks) a tweet thanking him and letting him know that we would finally stop tweeting him. After all this time – Who knew he would take a minute to respond? But he had a message for all of us:
Congratulations, Colonists. You earned it! We have our season 3!
When I started this campaign, I had no idea it would touch so many people from every corner of the world. I had no idea the emotional attachment so many people have for this great show. It was a wonder to watch. From the absolute bottom of my heart – THANK YOU – to everyone, EVERYWHERE who supported the campaign. This couldn’t have been done without you! You have my sincere respect and gratitude!
There are a few people that really stepped up over the last 10-14 days to get the #RenewColonyNow message out there. They took messages from me all hours of the day and worked hard to get as many Colonists involved as possible. Wendy, Tracey, Sharon, Lisa, Pete, Erin, Nancy, Roo, Erin, Robyn, Dave, Paul, Caroline, Monica, Scott and surely some that I’m missing at 6am this morning. I can’t thank you all enough!
To wrap this up – one more thank you… Thank you NBC Universal, USA Network, Chris McCumber, Val Boreland, Bill McGoldrick, and Jeff Wachtel. You took the brunt of our campaign and ultimately gave the fans of Colony what they wanted. Thank you so very much!
See everyone for the finale! #Colony FOREVER!
